Your iPhone can do pretty much everything — even help with your laundry.
An Instagram user shared how your phone can help you decipher what the symbols on the care label mean.
Digital creator Brad Canning shared how your iPhone will tell you exactly what to do with your laundry to reduce the risk of shrinking and take proper care.
“This is going to blow your mind,” he starts off the video — which has garnered 1.4 million views and 25,800 likes.
“You know these crazy symbols on the inside our clothes? Let me show you a little trick.”
Canning then shows how all you have to do is take an up-close photo of the laundry care label, and a washing machine symbol will appear at the bottom when you open it in the Photos app.
Once you tap that, it will say “Look up Laundry Care” and it will show you what each of the symbols means, such as tumble dry or do not bleach.
“This is so good,” Canning declared.
He added that this feature could also be used to identify plants, dog breeds, cat breeds, statues, artworks, books and more.
The catch? You have to have an iPhone SE or later and be running on iOS 16 or 17.
People in the comments couldn’t believe they didn’t know about this feature.
“My mind is blown, and plants and breeds too?? I can’t believe there are apps that cost $30 when I’ve had this on my phone the whole time! Thank you,” one person wrote.
